Air pollution may be a risk factor for psoriasis, a chronic inflammatory skin disease.

The association between air pollution and psoriasis remains unclear, and the results of various studies have been contradictory. Recently, a systematic review and meta-analysis study was conducted, and its findings suggest that with short-term exposures, for every 10 µg/m³ increase in NO₂ pollutant levels, the likelihood of developing psoriasis increases by 2%.
